What changed
Most guide pages now carry a small "Travel money & gear" card in the sidebar, linking to two services: Wise, a money transfer and travel card service we genuinely use ourselves, and Amazon's travel accessories page, via the Amazon Associates program.
Why we're telling you directly
Our editorial transparency page previously said outright that we had no affiliate links. That was true when we wrote it and isn't anymore, so we've rewritten that page \u2014 along with our privacy policy \u2014 to explain exactly how both partnerships work, rather than quietly letting an old claim go stale.
What hasn't changed
No hotel, tour operator or destination has paid for editorial placement anywhere on this site, and neither partnership influences what we choose to write about \u2014 that's decided entirely separately, the same way it always has been. The links are small, sidebar-only, clearly marked, and nowhere near the volume of a typical ad-supported travel site.
